Welcome to the 6th Annual U-PICK

Paradise Pumpkin Patch

Charlotte Lake Farms is excited to welcome you back for our sixth season of fall festivities. From pumpkin picking and wagon rides to the crisp beauty of Alberta’s harvest, our 2026 Pumpkin Patch continues to offer a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

Guests can enjoy selecting from a variety of pie pumpkins and carving pumpkins, taking in the autumn scenery, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Important Update: This year’s growing season has been impacted by weather delays and flooding. As a result, pumpkin quantities will be limited, and our traditional bale maze will not be available. In its place, we’re introducing an all‑new attraction: Farmer Olympics, a fun and engaging game designed to bring out your competitive spirit while keeping the farmyard energy high.

We look forward to celebrating the harvest with you.

💛 Just Want a Pumpkin?
Not everyone wants to do the maze, wagon rides, and games—and that’s okay! We’ll have a Farm Gate Pumpkin Store set up near the entrance where you can purchase pumpkins and fall décor without admission to the patch.

🎃 What to Expect at the Patch?

  • Explore 50+ pumpkin varieties – orange, white, blue, red, pink, yellow, black, warty, bumpy, tiny, giant…there’s one for every porch, pie, soup, and carving!
  • Kids’ games and wagon rides included with admission.
  • Fantastic photo ops and NEW setups for 2026 – bring your camera!
  • Farm-fresh Red Angus beef available: A la carte or bundle.
  • Snacks for sale: cow tail candy, beef jerky & cold drinks.

👟 Tip: Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and bring gloves – the patch is rustic and real as the pumpkin leaves and stems are prickly.  If raining, you may want to bring your umbrella!

Pumpkin FAQs

Are pumpkins sensitive to frost?
Absolutely! Pumpkins don’t like frost – even if cured! Once frost threatens, all remaining pumpkins will be harvested and stored safely.  They’ll still be available for purchase near the patch.

How long will my pumpkins last?
If cured properly, pumpkins can last for several months. We’ll give simple care instructions which will be available at the patch so your pumpkins stay fresh and festive all season long.
