“For the last few years we have ordered farm fresh meat from Charlotte Lake Farms. Each of our orders amount to 1/8 of a cow. From a budgeting standpoint, the up front cost is sizeable; however, the meal order fills up our freezer and the roasts, steaks, and hamburger last for several months. In the long run, it is more cost effective and convenient to buy directly from the producer than to purchase it in expensive batches from the grocery store.”
